You can just call me Lagawan (Hiligaynon word for "wanderer"). The name speaks for itself.
Honestly, I hate writing. I'd rather speak and tell my stories to my friends everytime I'm back from a trip. I'm pretty good at telling stories, with all the body language, facial expressions, sound effects, etc. But I'm just too lazy to tell my stories through writing. I travel whenever I have spare time. I travel whenever I have extra money. I travel when I have nothing else to do. I travel with friends. I also travel alone.
Then I realized that I've been traveling for quite some time now and I learned a lot of things. I have to write a blog. Yeah, "I have to" is the perfect term. There are 2 things that made me write this blog:
First, I want to share my experiences to others. When I was planning my trip last year, there were things that I needed to know so I read some books, asked friends, and searched online. Unfortunately, some routes that I wanted to take were rarely done by other travelers, so my sources were limited. Not all travelers are willing to do what I did, so I want to share it, just in case you're going to need it.
My second and most important reason is personal. After visiting a lot of places, I am starting to forget the details of my trip. Every trip had different emotions attached to it. If I forget the details and only rely on my lousy photos (I'm a terrible photographer), then it would be just like a collage of ramdom, blurred visions in my memory. I have to remember. I want to feel it again. I have to write it down, like a diary. Anything goes. Facts, opinions, random thoughts, anything.
Welcome to the thoughts of a lagawan.
Here we go,
